About the exhibition:

In an age where one in ten Europeans is conceived in a IKEA bed, it is hardly surprising that the pervasive influence of this flatpack giant has found its way into the visual arts. Swedish for Argument used IKEA as a departure point to examine ideas of production, ownership, ubiquity and need.

Participating artists:
Guy Ben-Ner (ISRAEL), Tony Schwensen (AUS/USA), Emma White (AUS), Helmut Smits (NL), Gary Carsley (AUS), Michele Pred (USA/SWE), Lorenzo Bravi (ITALY) and Jess Olivieri with the Parachutes for Ladies (AUS).
